Java Backend developer

We are looking for an experienced developer with a strong background in Java to join our backend team. You will work on systems where high availability, security, high-quality data architecture, and teamwork are essential. The projects we work on aren’t just for a few months, we dive deep and build long-term, sustainable solutions.

What You’ll Be Working On

Technologies you’ll work with on a daily basis:

• Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Rest API
• Kafka, BPMN - Camunda / Operaton  (an advantage)

Other important aspects of the job include:

• designing architecture and data structures
• optimizing performance and security
• synchronizing data across multiple systems
• code review, teamwork, and agile development

What We Expect From You

• At least 2 years of experience in backend development in Java
• Experience with Node.js (an advantage)
• Good understanding of database systems, the cloud, and monitoring tools
• A commitment to code quality, the ability to work independently on tasks, and the ability to actively contribute to the team
• Previous experience working on projects where an emphasis was placed on security and high system availability

What You Can Expect

• Start date: by agreement
• Workload: Full-time (8h)
• Location: Žilina, Liptovský Mikuláš, Košice, Bratislava or remote
• Salary: Medior – from 3,000 €, Senior – from 4,000 €
• Flexible working hours
• We offer a one-year fixed-term employment contract, and if both parties are satisfied, we’ll be happy to continue our collaboration.
