IT administrator

We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to ensure the stability, security, and reliable operation of our systems.

Your responsibilities

• Management and development of the internal IT infrastructure.
• Team support (hardware/software, onboarding, troubleshooting).
• Security and access rights.
• Collaboration on improving internal processes and tools.

80% of your work will involve managing dozens of software tools, and 20% will involve managing hardware:

• Management of software tools (subscription services) such as Jira (Atlassian), 
• Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace – all at the admin level.
• Hardware management (Apple devices – both PCs and phones, remote management, IT asset management).
• Network and VPN management. 

You’ll have the opportunity to manage a modern tech stack and have a real impact on the tools and systems we use here at GoodRequest.

What you need to know

Our processes are already in place. Your role will be to familiarize yourself with our systems, ensure the department runs smoothly, and remove any obstacles that may arise.

At the same time, we offer you plenty of room for growth—you’ll be able to come up with new ideas, implement new technologies, and refine processes.

This position is a good fit for you if you have a broad IT background and enjoy doing a variety of tasks. You’ll work closely with both technical (programmers, analysts, etc.) and non-technical colleagues (managers). That’s why active communication, explaining things clearly, and effective problem-solving are essential.

What we expect from you: hard skills

• At least 2 years of experience in administration of IT systems and services. You're in for an 80% software to 20% hardware ratio.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Google Workspace, Notion, and Slack at the administrative level. Maintaining and developing dozens of tools will be your daily routine.
• Experience with low-code/no-code automation (e.g., Zapier). You know that repetitive tasks can be automated and enjoy saving time.
• Experience with macOS/Apple devices and knowledge of networks and network settings (VPNs, routers).
• Familiarity with information security is highly valued.
• Experience with Unifi devices is a plus.
• Slovak language (C1)

Additional details

• Start date: immediately/negotiable
• Employment type: full-time (40 hours/week)
• Location: onsite at our headquarters in Žilina (later, up to twice a week remote work)
• Salary: Junior starting at €1,500+ gross depending on your experience; we’d be happy to discuss this with you.
• We offer a one-year fixed-term employment contract, and if both parties are satisfied, we’d be happy to continue our collaboration.
