We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who will initially join our projects directly as a developer and tech leader and over time naturally take on the role of Backend Leader.

Leadership at our company doesn’t arise formally, but from:

  • the technical trust of the team,
  • high-quality decisions,
  • and a deep understanding of everyday project challenges.

That’s why you’ll first join the team as a developer/tech leader, and only later transition into the leadership role.

What your journey will look like

First: Backend Developer / Tech Leader on projects

  • Hands-on backend development.
  • Technical leadership of the backend part of the project.
  • Architecture design, code reviews, solving more complex problems.
  • Mentoring developers and making technical decisions.
  • Collaboration with PMs, frontend developers, designers, and others.

In this phase, the team will experience you as a strong developer and trusted partner.

Later: Backend Leader

  • Leading and developing the backend team
  • Hiring, onboarding, regular 1:1s
  • Collaboration on allocations, capacities, and priorities
  • Supporting people on projects – both technically and personally
  • Working with senior developers on shaping the backend direction

Technical experience

  • Senior-level experience in backend development (Node.js, TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL; Java is a plus)
  • Experience with architecture and responsibility for technical decisions
  • Ability to step in during critical situations both technically and decision-wise
